The idea of placing rooms directly next to each other without corridors originated in the French Baroque period. When the doors are positioned exactly opposite each other, the result is a fascinating view that extends from the first to the last room.
This concept is interpreted in the Parisian apartment TS-U-02. Instead of placing the openings linearly, they are arranged in a circle. This creates a flow of space that has no clear beginning or end.
In contrast to the Baroque, where rooms were hierarchically arranged from the entrance to the main room, in this apartment the boundaries between living, sleeping, cooking, working and showering blur seamlessly.
