Process
SK IV shows a rectangular concrete form with a water hose attached to its side and at the level of its “neck”.
The hose which reminds us of the “esophagus” ends in a rubber-like, stretchable water balloon, which can be filled and emptied similar to a “stomach”. The drastic contrast between the suggestion of the balloon’s elastic form and its petrification becomes all the more evident as soon as one realizes that the sculpture’s stretchable surface is only an illusion.
